A Prayer for Venezuela

Venezuela is a country on the brink of something terrible. While the shutting of Coca Cola and Polar Beer plants make flashy headlines, the scarcity of general services and overall despair of the populace are pushing the situation to a catastrophic conclusion. (No cola and no beer mean that essentially there is no sugar and no barley, among other things.)

I don’t know what will  happen next, and as an outsider I don’t want to apportion blame.

I just pray for all my Venezuelan friends here in the US and back home, that they and their families are safe. No baseball talk today.
